From Mockingbird Station "What's Next"
We’re taking this whole “New Year, New You” thing seriously. Exciting changes are coming to Mockingbird Station in 2017 that will give you new ways to experience old favorites and find new obsessions along the way.
Two new restaurant concepts will open their first-ever locations at Mockingbird Station this year. Mezze Mediterranean Kuzine will open by summer and will feature fresh flavorful Mediterranean fare. Edith’s Patisserie is bringing classic French pastry techniques to the Station and plans to be open by summer.
The Katy Trail expansion and Mockingbird pedestrian bridge are underway. The bridge will allow pedestrian traffic to cross over Mockingbird Lane between the DART rail stop at Mockingbird Station and the south side of Mockingbird Lane, just east of Central Expressway. The project is currently planned to be nearly complete by the end of April.
Mockingbird Station has already begun a transformation with new signage and a new look, which will continue in 2017. New green space and updated storefronts are on the horizon as the next phase of updates begins.
